From June 2nd to 4th at Javits Center took place an
orientation meeting on the franchise market. The President of the Chamber of
Commerce of Mozambique, Álvaro Massinga, the Secretary-General, Teresa Muenda
and several other businessmen representing various sectors of activity and
other business associations participated in the event. The session covered
matters on negotiation procedures and precautions to be taken when signing a
franchising contract for those who want to enter this business model for the
first time.
According to the organizers, a study must be carried out between the
counterparts so that the relationships are effectively material and lasting.
Time must be given for the parties to get to know each other better and the
terms of the contract to be consensual and the legal and cultural aspects
should always be taken into account, stressed the speakers. And as a basis,
training must be extremely relevant according to the Franchise rules, as it is
necessary to define standards and qualified people for the business they are
committed to.
