On April 25, 2025, took place a graduation ceremony of a Mozambican Navy Officer, named Carlos Chume, Lieutenant in the Mozambican Navy. He was part of a group of Navy and Coast Guard Officers from 15 other African, Asian and European countries.
The training took place at the US Coast Guard Training Academy in Yorktown, Virginia.
During the training, topics such as combating maritime piracy, illegal fishing, protecting territorial integrity, disaster mitigation systems, first aid, among other operations related to the coast guard and the exclusive economic zone were covered.
